TX and would like to find out how much taxes are and previous purchase price of a home before I buy. Where can I find this info?

Hello Gaye, Here is the link where you can look up the taxes per residence. http://www.brown-cad.org.

The sales price of homes in Texas is not published because Texas is a non-disclosure price. Do NOT use Zillow because their range is very innacurate in Texas because of this. They get their data based on the homes that are listed and what mortgage amount that are recorded NOT what they sold for. I have seen difference in their "zestimate" being off from 40K to 200K... that is a pretty large range.

My advice to you is to get a Realtor to represent you, they will be doing a market analysis on any home that interests you. This information will include SOLD homes in the same neighborhood with similar features as the homes you are considering.
