I took a position in Lakeland and looking for a good area. I dont mind a commute but how

close to Tampa would you go to get Great Catholic Schools, close to entertainment and low crime area, I currently dont like how far you have to go on weekends to hit the beach, etc.

Dear Todd and TJ:

For Catholic schools go to this web site:http://home.catholicweb.com/dosp_ocsc/index.cfm?reinit=y

For Public Schools go to this web site: http://www.sdhc.k12.fl.us/ Then click on Choice Options.

Also it might help if you could tell us a little more about your requirements.

Sincerely,

A. J. Sanchez

I am not familiar with the Dade City or Zephyrhills area. I did look at 50 plus houses in New Tampa area but came home on a Friday night and traffic was horrible. I felt that 4 and 75 by the college was too much for me and too far to travel home. I did look at homes in North Lakeland and seemed that they had flood issues and didnt really like the layout of the area. I did like the Bloomingdale area but seems that the houses vary in prices and I cant get a read on the schools. Seems that the area keeps making the National news. Any areas where the schools are smaller and still really good. Not really looking for a Class A in size but would like something with good programs and a strong athletic program.

Have you looked at the East Pasco area? It's an easy commute from Dade City or Zephyrhills to Lakeland. Yet we offer great community, large trees and rolling hills.

Dear Todd & TJ:

The house is located in Port Tampa area. This is an area south of Interbay and North of MacDill AFB on the west side of Dale Mabry. The Bloomingdale area is in Brandon which is 10+ miles east of our location. Sorry, we do not have a pool. If there is anything else feel free to ask.

What part of South Tampa are you located. We would like to be in the Bloomingdale area I think. Your house is out of our price range at this time. Just wondering, do you have a pool?

Todd & TJ -

Welcome to the Tampa Bay Area! The Brandon/Valrico area has some great Catholic schools and wonderful homes at reasonable prices. If you check out the crime report by zip code in the Tampa Tribune you can see the statistics by zip code, the zip codes for Brandon/Valrico are 33510, 33511, and 33596. This area will put you about half way between the beaches and Lakeland. You can take some back roads to Lakeland to avoid the interstate traffic and make the commute in about 30 minutes or less.

We hope this helps answer your questions! You can look for homes in the entire Tampa area on our website.

Best of luck with your home search!

Hello Todd & T.J.,

South Tampa, Beach Park or S. Westshore Blvd., Bay to Bay are some nice areas to live in depending on your price range. You could hop onto I4 to Lakeland or take Hwy 60 over to Clearwater Beach.
