I purchased a house with acreage and the house was listed on septic tank and well. After 4 years I was told

the well did not belong to me. But it sat on the land adjacent to my acreage, but the well is serviced by my electricity and my only source of water. What can I do?

Hi Ac,
You should definately have a survey done to confirm this, how did you find out it did not belng to you?

You should consider getting a survey to be sure of the boundaries and the exact location of the well. Then, if you are on good terms with the owner of the property where the well is located, you may be able to negotiate an easement. If not, it's probably time be to talk with an attorney. Best of luck!
