history and decent income (~ $60K,) but my credit is not that great (~ 600 FICO.) Would I be able to qualify for buying a home and taking advantage of the fed's current $8K rebate? What would be a cheap/somewhat nice area to look into considering my income? I want to buy a SFH and want to be able to walk to shops, bars, restaurants, etc. What would I need to spend to get a decent home, nothing fancy, in the city? Thanks for your time.
Daniel,
You should be eligible for $8000 tax credit. I have a mortgage guy that has programs that you would be able to use a portion of the $8000 tax credit to use as your down payment. Most mortgage companies are requiring a 620 credit score but I also have contacts that can get you a mortgage with a lower credit score. I can also help you find an area to suit your needs. You can read about the $8000 tax credit and about about the mortgage contacts I have at http://www.kaedimanly.com. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you ,
Daniel - You'll likely qualify for the $8,000 tax credit if you're a first time homebuyer. Prices vary widely as a function of neighborhood and type of house you're looking for. You can go to my webpage at http://www.EATHOMPSON.com if you like and contact me via e-mail. If you provide detailed information regarding price range, age of home, style of home, neighborhood requirements ... I can offer some possible suggestions on areas. I also have spreadsheets of school information and tax information by area if that would be helpful.
Hi Daniel,
I can get you in touch with a couple of people that can explain what your options are regarding financing. In addition, I can help narrow down a maximum price, locations and work with you to help locate a place you can call home. Please send me an email with additional details and we can go from there.
