I own Mobile home now, Can I still get the 8,000 dollar tax credit for first time home buyer, if I buy a house

It's my understanding, I'm not a tax preparer, but if you've deducted interest off you taxes within last 3 years you can't use this credit. If you haven't owed a home in the last 3 years meaning you haven't deducted interest you can use the first time home buyer credit. Your best bet would be to talk to your tax preparer. I've attached a good link that explains the tax credit.

A mobile is considered a home so you would most likely not be considered a first time home buyer.
