I need a lawyer in the Davenport area that specializes in foreclosure and can help me from a tenant's perspective.

Asked by Granmadee, 33023 Fri Apr 12, 2013

I rented a unit with a one year lease set to expire in May 2013 from a private owner who lives in Ireland June 2012 and found out the hard way that the unit went into foreclosure when the bank caming knocking on the door Jan 2013.

Help the community by answering this question:

The lease will have to be honored by both parties. Good news is you can't be evicted just because...So long as you are honoring and abiding by the lease, you cannot be removed from the house. Here is a link to landlord tenant law in Florida

This link will take you to attorneys that handle landlord-tenant matters in Davenport

Best of luck to you.

Do you have a current lease signed by the previous owner? If so you should be good to go. Just provide a copy to the bank. I'm just giving you my opinion of course. If you need legal advice I would call Richard Zaretsky. Good guy and he can help. Best of luck.
