I'm trying to buy a house on my own without my wife's credit. We have a mortgage with only her name on it. Can I still apply for a loan?

I have a 750 Fico score, with almost no credit card debt. Will lenders require me to add her on the loan? Would I qualify on my own? I understand I would only be using my income to quality.

You are to be commended for a great score. Don't see any reason why you would not be able to buy on your own. If you need some suggested Lenders give me a call

Dear Clos78:

Congratulations on your fine credit sacore. Yes you should be able to purchase a home with you as the sole credit source. Check with your lender and then get preapproved for a mortgage. If you need a lending source or a realtor to help you with your purchase email me at chuckgreen@kw.com and I'd be happy to help.

If you have the income, credit and history to solely support a mortgage, Clos, I see no reason why your spouse would have to be added to the loan. Please check with a mortgage lender, however, to get an expert's analysis. My only question would be why do you not want her on the security deed? Regardless, I wish you Good Luck!
