Hello Shanthi,

San Ramon Valley Unified School District is the top Unified School District in the state with over 9,000 students. SRVUSD serves San Ramon, Danville & Alamo. Pleasanton is a good district. Dublin surpasses most districts south of there...but not north (as in SRVUSD).

Most of my professional career was spent in the educational marketplace and I take education very seriously. You may find more information on schools at http://vickiesellshomes.com and http://www.BestTriValleyHomes.com.

I have posted the school SPI scores below for your convenience.

Hi Shanti,
Pleasanton, San Ramon, Danville and Fremont (Mission Area) all have good schools.
Do go to this website: http://www.greatschools.net ; and check out school ratings.
Commuting for 30-40 miles is a good hour or more during traffic times, so you may want to consider this and shorten the distance. I presume your work place would be in Pleasanton.
I work with Re-Locations with Coldwell Banker, my office is in Cupertino, but I work by Referral only, so work all of the Bay area. I myself have re-located 5 countries and understand complete needs and impact moving can have on a family! Let me know if I can help you. Contact me, 408-7773823.

Your in the right area for Good Schools. You really have to see the areas yourself, to decide which City you prefer to move your family to. The schools are Great in which ever City you pick. You can check out the Schools around the Pleasanton area by going to http://housebiz.ca, and click on the School Link.

Welcome to California Shanthi. I moved here from Illinois some 40 years ago, and never went back. I think you'll love it Too. Good Luck, and Happy New Year.

Hi Shanthi,

There are some excellent schools in the Bay area especially where you are looking. As mentioned by the agents below the schools in the cities they referred to are very good. I used to live in Castro Valley and my kids went to the Elementary and Middle schools there. but we did not like the high school so we moved to Pleasanton and the 2 main high schools are very good in Pleasanton.

If I can help you find a home within the 30-40 mile radius of Pleasanton, please call me at 510-279-9580.
My office is in Fremont, but as I mentioned I live in Pleasanton so I can certainly help you with the knowledge I have in your rdius.

The best schools in the area are in Fremont, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Castro Valley (in that order).

See the links below for comprehensive data in both Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

Shanthi, John provide good information, anything around 680 is general good. But you have to remember that an area of 30-40 in the bay area is a very long distance as far as a 9-5 commute is concerned. A distance of 30 miles from Pleasanton could result in a hour drive to work, so keep that in mind if that is your situation.

read my profile and let me know if you think we could work together in the future.
