I have seen the Fulton Square property and like the 2 bed 2 bath oversized condos better than the townhomes. I have heard mixed reviews about the property - heard there have been many burgalaries & they have problem selling units...may even go up for auction. Can anyone confirm? Also, if this property is not FHA approved (which it may not be because its new development) how can I obtain mortgage loan with less than perfect credit in today's market?
You will need to find out if this property is FHA approved. If not, you need a spot approval. Matt Kaplan from Unity Mortgages has a lot of experience with FHA mortgages and spot approvals. You can give him a call at 732-599-1963 or email him at mattk@unitymortgagecorp.com.
As for Fulton Square, its probably best to check crime statistics and such online. New Brunswick itself has seen a lot of revitalization in the downtown area, though this development is outside of the main downtown area. Based upon New Brunswick's master plan, this area should eventually see some renewed growth, but with the state of the economy, its hard to say when.

Call a mortgage consultant regarding FHA approved association. I recommend Tom Foley of Wells Fargo at 732-565-4814. I'd also do more research beforehand and visit the area during the day, at night, during the weekday, and on weekends. Look at the surrounding area as well and check sites such as city data for crime statistics. Best of luck!
