I'm looking to invest in a small rental property in Scottsdale. It must be in a good area and suitable for professioanl couples.

There are many great opportunities in Scottsdale right now, you need to determine a price range and property type and then discuss things like realistic rents, potential remodelling needed, hoa fees, maintenance, financing, etc. It is also helpful to know your long term goals, Wiith interest rates for investment properties running around 4% it is one of the best times to be buying.

I know what it takes to find a great rental. I own multiple rentals,do property management for many of my clients and am a full-time REALTOR helping buyers and seller.

There are many great agents out there - interview a few of the ladies and gentlemen here on Trulia and pick one you are comfortable with and feel has your best interest at heart. I work hard for my clients, point out both the positives and negatives and put myself in your shoes in evaluating a properties potential.

There are numerous options for you to consider. What price range are you looking in? Are you purchasing based on cash flow or a long term investment? Do you want to be close to downtown or perhaps in North Scottsdale? After determining your criteria, available properties can be presented to you.

You did not mention your price range or type of property. Are you looking for cash flow, appreciation? Would you like a property that is already in a lease? Will you need a property manager?

Hi Ronald,

Your best investment in Scottsdale is probably a smaller private home. Lots of good areas in Scottsdale I like McCormick Ranch, MMR, DC ranch etc. Then you need to consider things like 1 or 2 stories, pool and school district. Rental market is great right now I can help get a renter in there fast or you could even find a deal with renter already in place. I'll be glad to help:)

With more specifics your search can be very specifically targeted. Price guidelines are helpful, do you want a single family detached home, a town home or a condo. For general appeal, I would suggest nearby freeway access with pool access-either private or community. One story or two and number of garages/carports.

Inventory is low so you should be ready to move quickly and have all funding or cash readily available. How much (if any) update/rehab work are you willing to do-I do have a contractor list.
