older homes. How do I see what the new construction looks like? Is there one central website for the whole development?
If I were you I would contact Garreth Wilcock. He definitly knows what is going on in that area. He specializes in that area as well as green homes which is a focus of the builders in that area for sure. He is a resident realtor of Mueller and maintains a blog with a lot of pictures and videoof the new developments that are going on. His blog can be found at : http://garreth.featuredblog.com
Good Luck!

Hi Richard
As a Mueller resident I am aware of some of the challenges finding homes in Mueller. Much of this is due to the way the MLS mapping information is updated. Mueller streets only came into mapping engines like google recently, and even now we only have phase I streets. So some of the MLS listings are not mapped correctly and you can't find them.
Also, not all homes are in the MLS - http://muelleraustin.com has links to all of the builders sites, or you can search the Mueller MLS listings at my site http://budurl.com/searchmueller
If you want to learn more about Mueller, the community site for residents and future residents is http://muellercommunity.com, and I write a Mueller blog: http://garreth.featuredblog.com/?cat=2339
There was an article in the Austin American-Statesman the other day about this development. Try this

The enitre master plan can be seen at this link.... http://www.perryhenderson.com/green.html
They have it down to the trees in the yard. You still need a realtor to see the new properties...
Dear HDean,
I can give you the basics on this project. It's a compliation of homes in the following styles: Condos, Live/Work Houses (living loft over a retail business ideal for artists or small business owners), Row Houses, Garden court Houses, and Mueller Houses which are 4-6 individual units in a large building designed to look like a large custom single home.
They plan to have apartments in the project which are estimated to be available by Winter 2009. Right now they claim that Phase I is almost sold out. However if you look at the maps or go tour the project they have plenty of lots/homes to choose from. The development is going to have 25% of the homes available for lower income residents.
The builders working in Mueller are: David Weekly, Standard Pacific Homes, Streetman Homes, The Muskin Company, and Saldana Homes. The homes are all very lovley, but the lots are very small.
This weekend I was in one of the Streetman Homes propertys and they have a very high quality product. This builder is doing a lot of 'Green' things in their homes. They have high efficiency toilets, low water landscapes, on demand gas hot water systems, 95% flourescent lighting, Agribalance foam insulation ( I opened the attic door and it was cool inside. Bear in mind the outside temp was close to 100), Low solar heat gain- Energry Star Windows and all Energy Star Appliances.
Please call me if I may be of assistance in your Austin home search and welcome to Texas!
Sincerely,
Betina Foreman

Thanks for that link Lynn... this sounds crazy but a lot of googling on my part didn't turn that up! Could be user error though :)
