Absolutely. I would be happy to discuss with you my knowledge of the phoenix area and would recmmend you interview a couple of agents before you make your decision.

Having a relationship and knowing someone knows what they are doing is even more important when it is a referral.

I welcome a call from you.

Hello,
I work with referrals from other agents frequently. Tell your son to call me if he has not already identified an agent. I am a Mom of 5. I will treat him like I would my own.

I'd be happy to assist your son and pay you a referral fee. I have done extensive real estate relocation work with buyers, so this is familiar territory for me.

A few people have mentioned that the area where your son will be looking is important, which you as an agent know anyway, but you may not know the Phoenix areas. Metro Phoenix is roughly divided into West (Surprise, Sun City, Tolleson etc), North (Cave Creek, Anthem, Troon, north Scottsdale and north Phoenix,) Central (Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria) and East Valley (Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert).

I work in the East Valley and south Scottsdale, so if those are places your son is considering, please check me out. I look forward to hearing from you or him.

Definitely, you can get a referral. Being an agent yourself, I am sure you understand the importance of choosing someone who knows the area your son is interested in. I agree that you should interview a few agents before making your decision.

I work with many out of state buyers, and would be happy to speak with you and your son.

Thanks,
Jennifer

I'm a real estate broker in Phoenix and I own a company called Position Realty. I have lived in Phoenix / Scottsdale my whole life and I have very knowledgeable / experienced in a lot of different types of transactions. We will pay you a 35% referrals fee. If you are interested, then just give me a call or have you son call me.

You can always ask for a referral fee... but is that the best solution in finding the RIGHT Agent to work with your son? With lowered commissions on Short Sales and Bank Owned, asking for a referral fee may not be in the best interest of your son's negotiations with a top Agent.

Personally, I have sought out the most experienced, professional Agents to work with my kids: my son and daughter in law are in the Navy for the last 12 years ~ he's Independant Duty Corpsman with the Navy Seals... and my daughter is Manager at Chanel in San Francisco. Saving them money by negotiating wisely and confidently is worth ten times any referral fee. Both have loved their Realtors, becoming another 'Mom' in their new cities!

Best wishes to your family in your new adventures!

Referral fees are very common and I would be glad to pay one also.

What area, the Valley is very large and I don't believe anyone can truly know all areas really well?

Pick an agent in the area he thinks he wants live. We can then serve him well for you.

Ms. Djenic
Good morning to you. Thank you for reaching out. Please feel free to contact me to see if I'm a good fit. I am a broker who has lived in the greater Phoenix area most of my life. I love this town and I love what I do for a living. I will gladly compensate you for your son's referral even if you are a Spurs fan!

Thanks for responding my question Margie,
When we found out that our son matched in general surgery program in Phoenix, my husband said :"You must stay a Spurs fan". After Manu Ginobili, Steve Nash is my favorite. Thanks God my husband doesn't read this:)

Your Broker can get the referral fee from the broker's agent whom your son will be using.
Then your broker will pay you accordingly.
Best.
