What do you all know about the homes for sale in Lakewood Dallas TX (http://www.estatechase.com/localInfo/Neighborhood/Lakewood-D…)? I've heard good things, but would still like more opinions.

Lakewood is a nice area; however, there are many nice areas in Dallas. What I think you should consider is how far away you are willing to commute to work, schools that you want your kids go to, your budget for a home, and perhaps even age of the home.

Let me know how I can further assist you, you can call me at 469-371-2899 or you can check my website at http://www.dfwdreamhomes.net for the most current listing.

Lakewood is a nice part of town, with older homes and character.

You would be wise to get your loan approval in order before the move to Dallas so you can start a home search as soon as possible and be in position to make an offer as soon as you see a property that suits you. The market here has dictated that for the last year or more.

You may want to check out my loan program, that does not require a down payment, closing costs or perfect credit. Go to http://www.naca.com for details.

I now have a lease to own program available to my clients, if you have some interest please call, text or email me for more information. 214-802-6708 cell

Agreements – Lease to Own Program
Lease
The initial Lease term is for one year, and the Lease automatically renews every year as long as the resident is in compliance with the Lease and other agreements. Before the end of a Lease term, the resident has the right to give notice that he/she does not want to renew the Lease for another term. If for any reason the resident decides to leave the home at the end of a Lease term and is in compliance with the Lease, the full security deposit will be returned.
The resident's financial commitment is limited to the initial one year Lease. The resident does not have to renew the Lease after the initial year. The maximum number of Lease term years is five in the state of Illinois/Colorado and three in the state of Texas.
Over the life of the Lease, Lease to Own Home program expects residents to treat the home as their own- maintain the lawn and garden, remove snow or other debris, and complete minor repairs. Lease to Own Home program is responsible for any major maintenance items.

Purchase Right Agreement
The resident's Purchase Right Agreement (and therefore Purchase Right) is in effect as long as the Lease is in effect, and the resident is in compliance with these agreements.
The Purchase Right Agreement gives the resident the right to purchase the home from Lease to Own Home program at a pre-defined price for each year of the Lease, as long as the resident is in compliance with these agreements. The maximum number of years a resident can rent the home and have the Purchase Right is five years in the state of Illinois/Colorado and three years in the state of Texas. The Purchase Right does not obligate the resident to buy the home.

As the others have mentioned, Lakewood is a great place to live. There are many wonderful areas in Dallas and the surrounding communities. Where you decide to settle, will depend on many factors including where you work, activities you enjoy, if you are concerned about school districts, etc. I would be happy to help you in your search. If you will be visiting the area prior to your move, I can show you around to see which places you like.

HI Maria,
I just assisted a family from Atlanta in finding a new home here! You'll love Dallas. Lakewood is a very popular area. In determining where you want to live, you'll also want to take into consideration the schools and distance from your workplace. This is a big metroplex and your commute to work is important to keep in mind. An important first step is the have an automated custom search set up so you can become familiar with the types of homes, areas and price ranges that Dallas has to offer. Then when you come for a visit, you will be well informed and able to maximize the time you have for actual showings.
I would welcome the opportunity to set it up for you. Feel free to call or email with questions anytime. Thanks!

As others have mentioned, Lakewood is a wonderful neighborhood of East Dallas. Other neighborhoods to consider include homes in the MStreets - a neighborhood that is always in demand. Homes near White Rock Lake and the Dallas Arboretum in Forest Hills. And be sure to check out the popular L Street neighborhood as well. DFW is such a large metroplex that it would be good to know where you will be working and if commute time is a consideration.

We are full service residential brokerage, offering sales, leasing and property management. You can view our rentals at: http://www.CampagnaRealtors.com or search for homes for sale at http://www.CampagnaHomeSales.com. We are family owned and operated and are 4 generations strong in the Lakewood area of Dallas.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the area or home buying process.
