I live in San Jose, CA, where I rent and have a good job. I want to buy a home in Dahlonega, Georgia....
relocate my family there with all pets, belongings, etc., this summer. I want to continue to work at my current job, and i have a friend who will let me stay with them for free in San Jose. So, my current rent is $2500/month. I have found NUMEROUS homes that would put my monthly note at $800-1200/month, if I do this. I figure I can buy, work here a few more years, fly home to GA every other week for extended stay and work from home, and STILL pay less than what I am doing. I am originally from Mississippi, so I want to get back to the south before I retire. If you are a mortgage broker who can make this happen, email me, especially if you are familiar with FHA and USDA guaranteed programs. I have done my homework. The only hurdle is residency, as I understand it, but my wife would be on the deed, and I have no other properties, and I can continue my work unabated to pay this. Please advise. Thanks.
