I just put an offer on an PEO property on Monday, and now its friday. We have yet to hear back from the bank.

The asking price was $99,900 and we offered $105,000 cash with a short escrow. Now this house is also as is and we signed the addendums. Then a friend who is also a liscensed contractor went in and inspected. it was all fine. I am chomping at the bit to hear back. The agent with the listing said our offer is the highest and best. This house is also not accepting FHA loans, only conventional loans. I need to know how much longer do I need to be in this agony? Any opinions would help too.

Tuesday seems to be the day, as many asset managers are just catching up with paperwork on Monday. I went over this on my blog back in August: http://equityguy.blogspot.com/2009/08/relax-youll-get-your-a…

Dear Hopefullysoon,

Some banks are quicker than others to respond...If the agent said you were highest and best and no other offers were submitted, than I would think you should hear back today or by Tuesday (since Monday is a hoiiday) Heck, by the time you read this you may have already heard.
