Everybody has their own comfort levels regarding safety. I was born in Oregon City, grew up in West Linn when it was just a small mill town and have worked in OC and have friends who continue to live in Oregon City. Myself, I would not feel uncomfortable living in that community. Like anyplace that you move you should do your homework. Drive around the neighborhoods,especially on a weekend. Do you feel comfortable there? There is nothing better than your own instincts. Maybe visit a park and talk to the people who live there. If you belong to a church visit one the Oregon City churches.

For crime data there are many websites that provide that information but your best source is always the local police department, they can give you answers to questions that concern you the most.
