have to have my new job for any period of time before I can get a loan for a house?
Good Morning Sam,
The wisest thing to do is get your lender lined up first so that you can know you time frame for purchase and your buying power. There are several great lenders here that I can help you with. The second is to look at what your desires and needs are in a home, job location, family needs to be able to find that unique treasure that meets your hearts desires. It truly is a great time to buy a home. I would consider it a priviledge to serve you in you real estate needs. I can provide referrals from people that I have worked with , especially those transferring into El Paso, so you can feel comfortable in working with me. I am diligent but not pushy and very patient.
Give me a call if I can help you in anyway.
Blessings alwyas,

Sam,
Is your new job in the same industry, the same type of work or with the same employer.
Were you working at your old job while you finished your education and now going into your degreed field.
If you answer yes to one of these you are okay.
Why don't you go ahead and contact a mortgage . One of us here in Texas can refer you. INnfact I can refer you to a Real Estate agent and Mortgage person in El Paso, as others on this site can.

Sam:
Generally speaking, if you maintain employment within the same type of work and there is continuity shown on compensation, there would be no reason you couldn't obtain a loan upon your move . If there is a drastic change in the employment or the amount of compensation and manner in which it is paid, there may be a need to re-establish a history of employment and compensation within the new job situation.
Without further details given here, it is hard to get more specific than that unfortunately. I would be more than happy to answer this question and others regarding your desire to purchase in El Paso, should you like. If I can be of further assistance to you, please contact me here at trulia, through my website at http://www.genemundt.com, my email (gene@chicagobancorp.com), or my Direct Line: 815.277.4036, at your convenience. Hello Sam,
Congratulations on your move to El Paso. It's a great place to live.
If your new job is in the same line of work, lenders will usually consider it as continous employment. If it is a totally unrelated line of work the lender may want to see some kind of longevety before they approve a loan. How much depends on the lender.
Will this new job be in the same line of work?
What were you doing before? How were you compensated? Salary? Commission?
Didn’t find what you were looking for? Ask a question!
