I have a question about Tom Maloney Elementary School. It has low greatschool ratings but high API (around 854). Does it mean it is a good school?

Both are third party opinions. In general, the API score is a good guide. You can also go check out the school in person.

Hi Panthesh, Just keep in mind that we are all different and some teachers you love others could dislike. I would go with the scores and, if you have time, ask to sit in a class for a bit. I sent my children to sunol from 5th to 8th grade because I had heard so many bad things about walters middle school. while I did like the (small town school atmosphere) I did not like the way the principle handled discipline (it was very biased.) That said my children received a great education there and are at the top of their class in High school.
