You can have the judgment removed from your credit report if it keeps you from getting qualified for your home. It's your right to dispute negative items on your credit reports under the federal fair credit act. Your first step would be to check your own credit report through websites such as: http://www.truecredit.com. You really need to find out what is weighing down your score. A judgement can definately weigh it down. At any rate, you really only need 2 years tax returns, a steady income, and a middle credit score of 620 to get approved for a loan. I hope this helps and feel free to contact me if you need any other advice.
Hello Natalie,
Just based on the judgment, is not enough information to determine whether you would qualify for a loan or not. There many other parameters. Have you had your credit pulled recently? If so, I'll be happy to take a look at and tell you exactly what it will take for you to qualify for a home loan. I'm very knowledgeable with the mortgage guidelines. Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss your loan scenario.
Hey Natalie,
Your best bet would be to call a Lender to answer that question. Tell them that you would like to get pre-approved to purchase a home and they will run your employment info and credit info and give you a straight answer. It is fantastic, though, that you are at least aware some credit issues could affect your ability to qualify. If you need in help in your search for a home, feel free to call or e-mail me. I can help!
