I have a job offer in the Phoenix area. How much would I pay for a 3 bed room ranch with 1700 sq ft in a decent area?

The Phoenix area is like living in the state of Rhode Island. It takes literally a couple hours to cross the valley in good traffic. Because this is such a new city, there are literally farms and mini-ranches in the city limits. In-fill new homes have grown up around older areas. You just have to get here and start looking. I'd start near your new job and work out until you find a neighborhood or area you like and then start looking at homes around that area. Congratulations on the new job.

What area is the company located? Is this for a rental or purchase?

Prices will vary on location. If you don't mind living on the outskirts of town and having a potentially long commute you can get something in the mid-100's. YOu can also pay into the millions if you want a killer property in Paradise Valley, Arcadia or other top areas. You simply need to spend some time with a good agent you can listen to your needs and show you different areas. Certainly not a question you can expect a viable answer to online.

Congratulations on your job offer, I hope you decide to accept. Phoenix is a great area with tons of exciting things to do. As for your question, I would be happy to send you a Buyer's Advisory that wil give you links on different neighborhoods so that you can research the areas at your pleasure. For price it depends on what you are looking for, do you want to be near downtown with access to the light rail system or do you prefer to be more out in the surrounding areas? Your second most important step is to talk to Lenders to find out where your price point is, unless you are paying cash
Let me know if I can help. Feel free to contract me at TrishaBrooks@cox.net or call at 602-618-3053, here to help!.

Prices in Scottsdale will be higher than in surrounding areas. You should purchase on the boarder of Scottsdale and Phoenix because property taxes will be lower in Phoenix than in Scottsdale. My company gives clients FREE access to the Arizona Multiple Listing Service and you can access the MLS by clicking here: http://positionrealty.com/

Congratulations on the job. As the previous respondents have stated, the range for pricing is extensive and will depend on many factors. How long of a commute are you willing to have is probably the biggest question now. Depending on where in Scottsdale, you might find many areas of the valley convenient. Price will vary widely depending on the age, location and features of a property. The best step is to talk to a Realtor about your specific wants and needs so you can search for you and not the ideas of random agents. Whether you choose to contact me, or any other Realtor, a thorough discussion will result in getting the best information for your particular needs. I will be happy to assist you. Either way, best of luck and I expect you will love it here.

Everything will depend on your budget and proximity to work. The valley is huge from end to end, there is so many options for you from the mid to low 100K upwards 3-500K. A 1,700 sq.ft home is on the smaller size of a home so you should have no issue finding a property below 200K or even below 150K.

Do not hesitate to call/text or email and let me know what you are looking for.

The short answer is you can get a home of this size for as low as $100,000 and up. It really depends on what area of the Phoenix metro area you want to live in. There are nice neighborhoods all over the valley. Here is a search directly from the Arizona MLS which has the most current and up to date homes available, so you can get an idea of what your dollars will buy you in the different areas. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you may have and wish you the best in your decision to move.

160k be a good starting point, I know many properties that are very nice starting in that range. But to answer your question between 160-200K is a fair answer.
Call me if you other questions, I am straight to the point and will find you what you want. I even have a house I am going to put on the market next week that might be just what you are looking for! Jason R. Pyle 623-297-3269 KW Prof. Partners

Congratulations on the new job! (If you take it.) Are you referring to a purchase or a rental? Just let me know. I can run a custom search for you. Depending on the area- in Phoenix- we are talking between $85k- $200 or more. Phoenix is a big area/ so lets narrow down the search a bit based on where this new job is and freeway access.
