I have a credit score of 630 my yearly income is 50,000 what are my chances of getting a home loan

Asked by Cali510, San Pablo, CA Sat Jan 7, 2012

I only have one account in collections which will be paid off in the next month. I have a steady work history I've been with the same company for 10 years now I have no other debt I've paid off all my credit cards I'm tired of renting and want to know if it's even worth trying to get a loan with my credit score?

Hello Cali,

Your credit score seems ok but there is a government program that helps even people with even lower credit scores qualify and they offer some great incentives. Please let me know if you would like more information on this program or if you would like to work with someone to start getting approved for an FHA loan.

Feel free to call or email me anytime if I can be of further assistance.

Not knowing other details, the 630 should qualify for FHA financing. If you need a referral for a lender please let me know. I have a specialist that works with first time buyers and credit has not been an issue. Best of luck and happy new year.
