I have a 650 credit score but I have one collection and one judgement. Will that keep me from buying a house?

Hi Whitem1999, The judgement may cause problems. Consult your lender.

I am almost sure the judgement will need to be resolved. As far as the collection it will depend. Is the 650 your middle score of all three credit reports or just one of your scores? It is best to talk with one of our local lenders. They can look at the full picture and give you the best advice. Mortgage guidlines are not always cut and dry. I will be glad to discuss in greater detail if you like.

The judgement was for an old car but I am paying on it.

I'll need a little more information about the judgement.

Collections can be forgiven and depending on how much/type of judgement could make a difference. Email me (info@desotodeals.info) and I can help you get qualified to purchase a home. You have n acceptable score to be able to qualify for an FHA loan.
