I do realize that it is the business of real estate professionals to sell a property, but how about a little

reality in the description. Why go look at a house that does not suit your needs , live up to your expectations, or is just out of your " league"? I have looked at homes that were praised as the home you are looking for, to find (supposedly) remodeled horrors with single pane, poorly installed windows, cheap materials in any newer construction features, and defects attempted to be hidden with cosmetic coverups. Is it a good real estate sales person that can sell a home like this..or a bad one?

One of the best ways to save your time and money is to work with an experienced and full time buyer broker who knows the inventory and will listen to your specific needs. In today's buyer's market, clients often begin a conversation asking to see only deals. What is important is to make clear what you want and work with a professional who demonstrates they listen. Today most buyers are doing their searching online and not all realtors provide numerous pictures or a virtual tour or a video. This makes it more important to work with an experienced professional who will get you the information you need and not waste your valuable time. Good luck in your efforts. Emily Medvec

Make sure the realtor is aware of your specifications. We forward properties based on interview process, and lender approval requirements, buyer selects home of their choice to look . If we all ready been on property for other homes for sale we might recommend for buyer to place on tour.
sorry to hear your having problems.

If your agent goes along with the ruse, they should be fired. It they did it knowingly, they should have a formal complaint filed.
If they represent the seller, hey, what can you do? I wouldn't go to any other house they represent but you can't expect them to do much more than list it "as is."

Gina I am sorry you are having a hard time. A good buyers agent will ask questions to make sure they know what you need. They will also not lead you astray but, take you to homes that fit the profile that they build from asking questions of you.
You need to change agents also.

Hope this helps,
