house has been placed in forclosure. Can I buy this house now or do I have to wait until the forclosure runs it corse. I have all the information on the house, including the mortgage holder. I don't want this house to get away.

Jennifer,

My wife is a closing attorney for a large firm that exclusively handels foreclosure property.

We could compile information and see about getting some more information on making an offer on the property.

Just get in touch if you would like to work on this with me.

There are a couple of things that could be tried. (1) Present a written offer to the mortgage company thru the attornet handeling the foreclosure. You would need to have loan approval from your lender to submit with the offer and around $3000 for earnest money. (2) Find out when it is going to the courthouse steps and bid on it there. You would need to have about 10% to put down and again have loan approval from your lender.
Also, there could be a problem if the bankrupcy is still in place.
If I can help give me a call. I represent 3 different REO compamies on their foreclosures.

Jennifer, the bank will most likely expect, possibly require, that you have professional representation. Call a local realtor and ask if anyone would be willing to serve as your buyer's agent. The agent can make inquiries on your behalf and submit your offer as soon as the bank/lender processes their initial paperwork.
Your agent may even be able to get your offer submitted to the bank before they actually list or auction the property. Different banks/lenders will have different requirements.
