I am trapped in a short sale house that I don't know before. and have a highest offer with no response. wait or withdraw?

As the buyer of a short sale, it's your choice if you want to wait it out (anywhere from 90-180 days). If you like the house and have NO PRESSURE wait it out....Doesn't guarantee you'll close but every short sale I've done is unique....I've closed as fast as 37 days (the bank loan was in-house) or have closed in 6 months (investor held the loan).......There are NO GUARANTEE'S IN SHORT SALES! tAK

It all depends how far along are you in this deal? Are you the highest offer accepted by the seller or are you already in contract and the bank has accepted your offer? Shortsales are more time consuming than regular sales so before you withdraw, find out where you stand and see if the wait is worth it. Do you have a Realtor representing you? Or an Attorney? Either one should be able to give you status.

Short sale transactions sometimes take a very long time. If you are unable to wait it out, withdraw your offer.

But certainly, have someone give you the status.

Are you the owner or the one making the offer?
That is the first of the questions that we need to have an answer to as it is not too clear and then based on that answer a few more questions for you and then we can figure out what your options might be.
