Lots of issues here. Windsong has approved builders that work in the development. You would need to check to make sure you can be your own contractor. They have a list of builder and frim review of all plans.
See below. As this will be a large home, it will require much detail to be looked after.

Given the slowness of the market, I would think you could get the total project done in 7 months, If you stay on top ot things. I once built a 35,000 SF MGF plant in 64 days from permit to move in, but I was at it day and night.
I would think you could buy cheaper than you could build...Right now you can find wonderful custom homes at around 100 to 150 per foot that need some paint and TLC.
