process of being pre approved for a va loan. My wife and I are thinking about calling a agent but we dont know who to trust or who would be the best agent for us. how do I choose the right agent for us? and if anyone knows of a good agent in the area that they have had success with i would really appreciate your help.
thank you
Orrin Joseph is the best. Check out his website. He handled a transaction for me -- very, very fast. He is also a great resource and knows much about the Adelanto area. I'm not sure if he covers Hesperia but he probably does.
My agent is Karen, this is her link on Trulia: http://www.trulia.com/voices/profile/Real_Estate_Pro-92307-100057/
She was awesome in guiding through the process. We now have a house we love.
Good luck to you!
Hi Charles. Thank you very much for your service. I myself served for 10 years at Barksdale & Travis. I lived in Adelanto for 1 year. 1 - there is some excellent advice below, mentioning interviewing at least 3 agents. As mentioned, you definitely want to select someone who will do a good job for you, however they are commissioned by the seller. Perhaps they can be squewed by a higher commission in 1 place over an other. That is a possibility, though not one that will do you any good to concern yourself about. Your best protection is being happy with the home that you make your own, keep your eyes out for what you like and what's important to you and being happy with the payment. 2 - Stick to South Adelanto. DO NOT buy a home North of the 395 & Cactus! Stay on the South Side. Also, I have been selling for 4 years, did loans for 1 year. Just found a gov loan better than VA. I will refer you to gov office if you would like. erikdfg@hotmail.com

I've done business with her and she has been
in the area for 30 years. Let her know I referred you !
You won't be sorry-you can thank me later... Nancy Guerra...
Hi Charles,
I would interview 3 different agents to see who you best mesh with. You will be pleasantly surprised how much easier your outlook on buying a home will be once you find the right real estate agent. A Realtor will be able to create a buyer plan that meets your particular needs along with setting you up with a reputable lender to find out what loan programs including a FHA option will best suit you. If they do a good job they will probably be your agent for life, and that is what any good Realtor is aiming for. Good Luck!
It’s the same as when you are buying a car go and shop around, what I mean by this is set up appointments with at leas three Realtors© who have knowledge about the area you are interested in, and ask question don't be shy, an honest and truthful Realtor© won't be intimidated by it. Since you are going to be the buyer, the agent gets its commission paid by the seller so no worries there. I my self have 2 listings currently in the Hesperia area, sold over 4 houses in that area alone last year and currently negotiating 3 more short sales and I have access to the Victorville Valley Board listings that cover Victorville, Hesperia Adelanto and apple Valley. Please feel free to contact me and ask any questions you may have.
Have a great day
To get names of agents, you might ask your lender, people at your work, your family and friends. A personal recommendation id a good starting point. When interviewing, ask about experience, and what they will do for you. When you find someone you like, ask for references, and check them. Once you decide, be sure to establish mutually agreeable communication methods, and enjoy the experience! Best of luck - you started with the correct first step!
I would go onto Realtor.com and you can find a Realtor there. There is a difference between a Realtor and a real estate agent. A Realtor commits to a code of ethics, as well as continuing education and continual training. I would also make sure the Realtor you choose has worked with a VA buyer previously, since there are certain things to watch out for when using a VA lender and some homes a VA loan won't work for. I've not worked with an agent in that area previously, but I believe Shear Realty is a big company that does a lot of business there. Good luck, and if you change your mind to move to Crestline, we're 20 degrees or more cooler in the summertime!!!
Charles, I know an agent who specializes in the Adelanto area who would be able to assist you in purchasing and answer your questions for you. The best agent for you is someone you both feel comfortable with. Don't select the first person you talk to. Typically, first time buyers need more hand holding and have more questions than more seasoned purchasers, which means, you need an agent with patience and one who has your best interest in heart. Good luck with your purchase.
