question(am wanting a bank-owned property)I have been spoken to rudly and even hung up on. Is anyone else having this issue? I am just shocked at this. I can't fly to psl every other day and rely on the psl realters.
Patti,
I hope your home search has taken a turn for the better. Others have answered your question, dead on, send any questions and inquiries through your agent and they should be able to help you best. It also helps to build your relationship with your agent and help them really learn what you do or do not like. As a Northern Virginia transfer, I welcome you to the Treasure Coast - I hope you enjoy it as much as I love living in PSL!
Patti, You have been given some pretty good advice. Let your Realtor check out the listings and call the listing agents, that is what they get part of the commission for! Your Realtor should be your advocate here in PSL. Good luck!
Patti,
If you have a realtor, you should be letting them deal with the listing agents. REO listing agents (agents that list foreclosed properties) do tend to be abrupt--however, they are dealing with tons of listings and paperwork.
If you are looking for a bank owned property and are out of town, you have a few choices-- put an offer on the property sight unseen, or have someone you know, like and trust in this area go with your agent when something comes onto the market. Bank owned properties do not stay on the market long--some are gone the day they hit the market, and others get multiple offers on them (sometimes more than the listed price).
Your realtor should be able to tell you what will work best for you. If at all possible, you might want to arrange a trip down (even if it is only for a weekend), so that you can see what is on the market yourself.
You should be talking to the Realtor that you started with and not the lisitng agent. If you are working w/ someone they don't want to step on someone else's toes and you have to be loyal to 1 so they know exactly what you are looking for. If they are not responding to you or it is not working out, you can go to someone else. They are just very cautious due to not wanting the same thing happen to them. They are paid by the Seller and there to help you. Just make sure if you are looking for someone else, that it is for good reason that your current Realtor is not helping.
Let me know if I can help you out on the Financing part.
You always have to have a Pre-Approval letter before anyone will accept your offer.

Patti, if you have a good relationship with your Realtor, let her deal with the listing agents... The listing agents can be difficult, because they are doing more work for less money in order to get these listings and deal with several at one time! Your Realtor will get paid less maybe some gross receipts tax and should want to work hard for you as you will refer him/her business for all the hard work she does for you!! Don't get discouraged it's a great time to buy!
Didn’t find what you were looking for? Ask a question!
