Rj,

congratulations on your move and I hope it will be a good one. Moving across country is never easy and I hope that yours is easier than most :O)

As far as your first question is concerned, your first process is to find a local Realtor or Property manager (generally a Realtor) to help you. That will be the easiest process. In this market most landlords are requiring credit checks and background checks so if you start that up front it will streamline the process. There are several very good Agents in the area that specialize in Rental property, however at the end of the day, most agents have the same access to all of the information so use who you are comfortable with. Again, a company specializing in rentals is probably your best bet though.

As far as average pricing. a 3/2 with a pool in cococnut creek and the surrounding areas such as Coral springs, and Boca Raton will be in the area of $1700 to $2300.00 a month. That price is subject to so many variables that it is hard to really narrow down much further. The average price i a report I saw published was $1800.00 at the end of last year.
As far as I am concerned this is a great area to live and you will be exceedingly happy here :O)

Have a Great move and feel free to call if you need any assistance.

Warmest Regards,
Roy

RJ: You may want to expand your choices to include Coral Springs and/or Margate - just a thought.

Hi RJ:

You'll be looking at between $1750 - $2500 for a single family 3/2 with pool in Coconut Creek. I recommend that you work with a Realtor - have them send you available listings and go from there. Timing will be important but it is certainly possible.

If I can help in any way, let me know. Good luck with the move and welcome to sunny South Florida!!

Best regards,

Angela

Hi,

I'm renting my house in Coconut Creek, we just bought another house in the area and are renting our current one. This house has the best public schools in the area. If you have children going to public school you should check every house out for the schools because not all schools are the same in Coconut Creek. Greatschools.com is a great resource once you figure out which schools are assigned to your address. Please see my add on Craigslist.com if interested in my house: http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/apa/2520635701.html

The average rental price is $1,750 and $2,250. Most lanlords will request First month, last month, and security deposit. If you have a dog....there may be a pet deposit as well.
I live in Coconut Creek for about 20 years now....and I love Coconut Creek.
