which is fsbo. There is a property that looks great and will meet our needs, but it is over eighty years old. What should I look out for and how to approach the whole FSBO idea? Thanks.

Vlad. My advice is to proceed with caution. If you are moving into an area that is totally new to you, contact a realtor in that area that will provide you with critical information and may also represent you as a buyer's agent even though this is a FSBO. I assume that you have already viewed the property, that it has been inspected by a qualified inspector, that you know what you're getting into, that is has been appraised and that you have an attorney representing your interests at the other end (where you plan to buy)? Dealing with a FSO directly is difficult enough but dealing with a FBSO without assistance is asking for trouble. Get some expertise on your side! Good luck.
