Dear Barbara,

Let's start with school...Boca Raton has excellent public and private school district.

It depends on what you're looking for...You may also want to look into Woodfield Country Club, another family friendly country club in Boca Raton whose equity requirements and club fees are similar to those of the polo club.

Additional Boca Raton Country Club Communities and fees below:

Neighborhood Communities: http://www.agentboca.com/neighborhood-communities/

Boca Raton has so many fabulous gated and country club communities, that I would be happy to explore and discuss with you!

Always a pleasure,

Hi Barbara,

Polo Club is located just about dead center in Boca Raton, right in the middle of town. There are other great options for country clubs besides Polo Club that you should definitely see, too.

Please contact me via email or phone.

GOOD LUCK!

Polo Club is a great community in Boca, but the right choice is dependent on many factors. I lived there for a short while and now live in St Andrews Country Club. As a Realtor, I'd ask one set of questions and as a Mom, I'd ask another one. Then, I'd merge the two and suggest some communities for you. I'm a Realtor with Douglas Elliman in Boca Raton and I specialize in country clubs and gated communities. Let me know what your high school kids like to do and what you'd like them to do (often, two different things entirely :) ). I raised my children in Bayside, Queens, NY and I know which communities I would look at in Boca Raton if I moved here with them as teens and surprisingly, it's not the one I would have selected initially. Are you renting? Sending your furniture or buying here? Barbara, give me a call #917-709-4957 or email me; I'm sure I can direct you to many resources. Boca Raton is a great place for teens and their parents. I'll also send you a link to the Douglas Elliman website, register and you'll be able to search schools, areas, etc.

Hello Barbara,

Its kinda funny that before moving to Florida, I was a New Yorker, and the only community I heard of in Boca was The Polo Club. The community is beautiful, but there are a lot of other factors you may need to consider. Such as the fact that The Polo Club is a mandatory membership community with high dues. Even if you are renting, this may effect you. Please call me so we can discuss your individual needs and I can guide you to the right community to suit them. For instance, West Boca has beautiful communities without golf clubs. West Boca also has fantastic parks that would be perfect for your teenagers to take up just about any sport and great schools too. Please call me as I would be thrilled to help you.

The polo club in Boca Raton is a beautifully kept country club that has facilities for both adults and children. If you are looking for a country club lifestyle, then this is a perfect place. It is also in the Boca Raton School District, so your children will be able to attend excellent public schools. If private schools are what you are looking for, you are very close to Pinecrest, St. Andrews, and Donna Klein, among others.

You might also want to look into Woodfield Country Club, another family friendly country club in boca raton whose equity requirements and club fees are similar to those of the polo club.

If you are not looking for country club lifestyle, then there are several communities around the area that will also provide well attended grounds without the country club fees. Your choice of community, whether gated or non-gated, size of home, etc, will be based on the price range you would like to be in.

Boca Raton offers country clubs, zero lot line communities with large homes, and 1 acre home lot communities. Once your boca realtor knows what you have in mind, he can send you a list of currently available homes that may work for you.
