What is your preference?
1st step is to get preapproved for a loan if you want to buy. You can do that in NY now today.
Then determine where you want to live.
Then look at homes in that area online in your price range.
Have us set up appointments when you'll visit, then come and few homes you want to buy.
I've posted below with some general comments. I've taken the liberty of providing a link to a home that I think is a good candidate for "make me move." May be too big for you at this point. But you will be surprised at how much home you can get per $ in Arlington. Wish you well in your househunting. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1807-Paddington-Ct-Arlingt
I would suggest that you talk to a lender or two so you can prepare for your next step or your goal. Let me know if you have any questions or if you need me to connect you with a lender, you can call me at 469-371-2899.

I've also written a #1 Best Seller called Buying a Home: Don't Let Them Make a Monkey Out of You. It'll teach you how to buy a home and get a mortgage without getting ripped off. Follow the link below.
Best of luck!
Good Luck and God Bless
I'll conclude by suggesting that you will find great values with plentiful amenities in SW Arlington, where Wimbledon is located. Best wishes and blessings for a successful relocation to No. TX.
I suggest you look in residential areas like Riverdale, which is in the northwest section of the Bronx. It is lovely, on a hill-top, has ready access to all sections of Manhattan, and has affordable housing.
I also suggest you look at our apts....see http://www.Knolls1.com.........
We have several 2-bedroom apts available. As we are limited equity, our prices are low, as you can see. If you are interested, contact us.
If not....good luck.......
