Although it is more difficult to find a home that will do a Rent to Own, it is always an option. A couple options you can try out would be to:
A: Drive around your neighborhood or go online and look for homes for rent. Call them up and see if they would be willing to do a Rent to Own option on the lease.
B: Look online for homes for sale to see if they would be willing to rent for a few years and then sell to you.
There are quite a few owners out there that are open to renting their home through this slower market and selling it down the road. I have actually seen some owners offer incentives for this, some offering to set aside some of the rent check towards a down payment should you purchase.
Good Luck!
