Hello Searchinginla,

I am a downtown loft specialist and have been downtown since 2004, the beginning of the resurgence. I currently have a unit listed for sale, a short sale, at $250,000 and will have a larger unit, approx. 1100sq.ft. penthouse being listed in the next couple of weeks. It's important to work with a downtown agent as these agents know the buildings and neighborhoods really well. In addition, there is a lot of inside information you should know before beginning your search i.e., some buildings have pending lawsuits, which in turn means you will have a very difficult time financing and or getting a loan at all. Some buildings are in Chapter 13, something you should consider carefully before purchasing in these buildings. These are just a couple of things one needs to be informed about when searching for a property downtown and a downtown agent will guide you and advise you best on what buildings you should be looking at. I'd be happy to assist you - just drop me a note. All the best, Paula Samuel, Downtown LA Realty, Inc. infolalofts@aol.com

Hello Home Buyer,

There are lofts available and so are buyers such as yourself looking for these great deals. Therefore, if you haven'e already done so, get your loan approval done so you have that in hand to make an offer when you see what you like.

Best,

Hello Searching,

I checked the MLS and there are two units that may fit the bill. A short sale in the Market Lofts ,MOLINO STREET LOFTS and Barker Lofts. That's a tight price range so you need to jump on them when they get listed. If you would like further info, let me know.

Good luck with your search!

All the best,

Hi there, thanks for your question. The quick answer is yes. I am an expert in downtown development and would definitely think of the Tokyo Lofts and the Barker Block as the two best offerings in that price range. There are units that size for your range that I would be excited to show you.

Please give me a call anytime and I can setup an appointment for you!
