Lake Marion Resort Community (no longer Golf Resort since Bull Run Country Club closed its doors after the hurricanes in 2005) is a wonderful community. It's actually held together nicely even through the "great" recession and increased trickle of Bank Owned Properties within the area.

The Community was developed in 2002 - 2006 and has a full functioning HOA. The property is zoned short term rental and has a lot of Snow Birds and Canadians thats vacation there frequently. Guarded, Gated community and very secure.

The area also has a lot going for it, the property is located in Village 7 of Poinciana, which is located 15-20mins from Winter Haven, the location of the new Legoland Theme park and the home of two new parks, with the 3.5 Million Dollar; Poinciana Community Park which has the "green light" for construction with an expected completion date at the start of 2012.

I've included some useful links below to support the information I just provided, wish you the best of luck!

Victoria, The are which you look is a Very Tricky area.

Suggest you get with a local agent (I am not one). They can keep you out of trouble!!!

Know Mark and Antonio from postings here, either one should be a gem!

Go to http://www.FindKissimmeeHomes.com
There you will be able to look at the community including area maps. As Bryant stated, the many single family homes may be a better option, specially if you don't want to have monthly HOA fees. There is also some new construction in that area. Feel free to contact me with any questions by clicking on my photo, or call 407-791-9086. Tambien hablo espanol.

As many of the agents have mentioned this location is remote to the major points in our area. The key question for you is:
Are you buying a property as investment to rent or you buying it for yourself. I just sold a unit in that location.
If I can help u, plse contact me.

Hi Victoria,

You are aware that there is no golf at the Lake Marion Golf Resort, aren't you? Always thought it was a strange name for a place with no golf course. As noted already, there are no 4 beds available there, but this is the most remote and depressed area of Poinciana so you can easily pick up a four bed house for next to nothing here. I've been in many of them and there are some wonderful deals here if remote is what you are after.

Good luck,

Hi Victoria.

Lake Marion Golf Resort is comprised mostly of attached villas. At this time there are 4 bedroom units available. However in that area there are quite a few 4 bedroom single family homes available. Here are details on these:

The best way to buy a home is to find a Realtor to help you. They will have access to all of the active listings in that area. If you need a reference, I'd be happy to help. I work for a national company and we probably have plenty of good agents in your area.
