how many cases there are in parkland golf and country?
Chinese drywall problems have been discovered mainly in the WCI (Heron Bay) community where many new homes have been built from 2004 to present. The extent of homes with Chinese drywall problems may be more widespread than reported in those communities. Parkland is a great place to live, raise a family and also enjoy the small town atmosphere. Great homes, great public schools (all levels) and ideal location. Home prices are reasonable now that the prices have dipped considerably and may be worth buying if you are very careful and a good negotiator. It would be high on my list if I was relocating to this area or consider Lighthouse Point.
This only occurs in certain communities. Where in Parkland are you looking to move? I don't know that the number of cases has been determind.
Hi, I am actual looking to sell my house in Parkland. My house was built in 2001 and have none of the dry wall issues. I live in Grand Cypress Estates. Let me know if you have any interest. 561-376-4472.
Max,
There have been reports that as many as 36,000 homes (most of which were built between 2002 and 2006) MAY have been built using the drywall containing the chemical that when hot (or wet in some cases), emits a sulfur-like odor. To my knowledge, there have only been a couple of cases in Parkland Golf & CC (one of which is in the provided link); however WCI is one of the many builders that had purchased the Chinese drywall in bulk. I'd be glad to recommend a few inspection companies that may be able to assist further.
