I am insurance agent and I have just signed a Purchase and Sale for a 2 bedroom in Building 3 (approx 943 sq feet). A Condo policy with $30,000 Personal Property would run around $700 (smaller units and/or less Personal Property coverage would be less). Flood Insuance would probably run $300-$315 for the same limits.

thanks for the info, with the present economy, i am not sure this is the best time to buy . (Buying a unit, just looking in Tampa) are you buying a unit in the Seaside Villa? I like being close to the beach but are concerned about the value. If I get over todays stock market drop, I might drop Tony (real estate pro)an email.

Gulfport is a charming, artsy village that borders part of southwestern St. Pete. It changed a lot earlier in this decade with an influx of yuppies and a lot of gay folks, especially gay women couples. Many little cottages were restored. Also available in Gulfport are several high-rise over 55 condo communities.

The main street--Beach Blvd.--has some neat little shops and an increasing number of diverse eating places. Gulfport has many Key West type elements--a kind of tropical artsy and diverse community-- at one-third or else or less of the cost. Although is not directly on the Gulf itself, it has a nice beach and pier on Boca Ciega Bay and is located perhaps two miles from the Gulf beaches at St. Petersburg Beach.

I know Gulfport well and would be happy to serve as your buyer's agent to find you some of the extraordinary buys available there now in properties. Tell me what you are looking for (size, price, and I will provide some specific examples).

Last time I checked, Gulfport was not on the Gulf. I sold a beautiful penthouse in The Pasadena Yacht & Country Club for under $400K this January and there are some great bargains. But they are not seaside.

Cute area... my website has a lot of information on that area. I also recommend calling a few insurance agencies with the exact address you plan on purchasing in order to get a quote.
