Hey there Bev,
As Don stated earlier, what you're looking for is seldom advertised. Lease-to-Own's, Subject-to's, and other creative ways to buy a house have to be created....not found in the MLS or classifieds.
What you may like to do is to call up the homes in the newspaper that are For Rent, or go onto Craigslist under the For Rent section, and call up/email each of the homes you like and ask them if they would be willing to sell at the end of the lease or would sell the house a little different way.
Don't be suprised if you get a lot of No's or "what in the world are you talking about"-type answers. Most people, and many Real Estate Agents, for that matter, have no idea how to put anything together other than a typical...List it-Get an offer with 20% down-Close using traditional Bank financing-Take their Commission and run......... situations.
If you need any extra help, just search my past answers and it will give you some more information.
Best of Luck!
