Hi Cjv,

There are all types of homes available between downtown Charlotte and Longview CC with at least .5 acres with good schools and accessibility to all types of shopping, grocery stores and restaurants. I am sending you a link to several homes for your review. Just click on this link: http://tiny.cc/halfacre . I did not know your price range so have sent you several price points.

If you would like to check the crime stats in any of these areas you can go to http://www.charmeck.org and take a look at any area in Charlotte.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

My wifes mother lives in the neighborhood behind Carmel and 51, it is fairly crime free very quiet with great neighbors. She kkeps about a 1/4 arce garden every year.

on the other side from Carmel Commons my friend Gary lives on Carmel but another great set of neighborhoods are right after the fire station on Carmel before Quail Hollow they have good yards also.

FYI - I grew up in CLT that is why I answered this question:)

Hey Home Buyer,

There are plenty of options of homes between Longview and Charlotte that would make your commute easy for both. Some of the things you need to consider: Do you want new construction? Wooded lot? Would you consider an older house to be in more of an established neighborhood? Do you want community features such as tennis courts or a pool? Bedrooms? and last but not least a price range. Providence Plantation is a subdivision that is centrally located to both and has larger lots than most, which are heavily wooded. I would be more than happy to help you or send you some potential properties if you would like. Thanks for posting your question and I look forward to speaking to you.

Happy new year Cjv and congrats on the move to Charlotte. I would be more than happy to help you in your search for a new home. If you are looking to be close to Longview, great course by the way, you are probably looking at about a 20 minute drive uptown in peak hours (possibly a little more) however it is really not a bad commute. If you would want to give me a call or shoot me an email and give me a little more specific information on what type of home you are looking for as far as size, number of beds and baths and things of that nature as well anything else that you desire in your new home and I can do some searching for you and email you what is available in that area. Certainly you can also visit my website http://www.MyCharlotteRealEstateBroker.com and search on there as well but you may as well shoot me the information and let me do the work for you!

Thanks so much and I will look forward to hearing from you,

Hi C,
There are several areas for you to consider and a lot depends on what other criteria you have. What size of home are you considering, price range is very important, what do you consider to be a reasonable commute?

There are homes available on 1/2 acre and you will find them to be older homes and communities. Depending upon price range you could consider the Ballantyne area or Southpark to get you started.

To do a search you can look on my website at http://www.carmenhunter.com or I'd be happy to do a personal search for you and send it under a separate email. How else can I assist you?

Do your own homework first--as far as safety--check with the local police department, ask all your questions and they'll gladly answer your questions and you'll be happy to have heard all the information firsthand. Keep in mind real estate professionals are prohibited from enticing a buyer to puechase, or not, in specific neighborhoods--and opinions are just that--what's good for one may not be good for another.
