Yes sometime us realtors and brokers have a tendency to push for your business, but understand this is the way we keep a roof over our families heads.
Here are a few web links that will be great resource if your relocaing to New Jersey and looking for affordable housing.
http://www.oceaninc.org/programs.html (Ocean County Program for housing Ocean INC)
http://www.njhousing.gov/ (Provides a search engine with lists of affordable homes)
http://www.state.nj.us/dca/affiliates/coah/resources/munilia (Providing a list of contact names for each county)
Keep in mind that prices in our area's have declined. You can find something in your price range in a nice neighborhood in many towns throughout Ocean County. .Please Remember when you purchase an affordable housing home and you choose to sell it down the road there will be restrictions as to how much you can ask. So, considering regular housing inventory will increase your chances of a future equity gain.
Good luck in your search.
