Home Buying in Ardmore>Question Details

Andy, Home Buyer in Wynnewood, PA

I am looking for a home that is in a good neighborhood with good schools. I have 2 children ages 1 and 4, so the school district is important.

I also work in Ardmore so looking for an easy commute (20-25min). What towns should I look in? What are your thoughts on Springfield? I can spend up to $325,000 and looking for a single family home with at least 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. I would love a garage too.

Great question Andy. There are quite a few towns that should accomplish your goal. Haverford, Marple-Newtown, Springfield, Rose-Tree-Media school districts are all very good and should make your commute to Ardmore doable.

If you would share more specifically your wants and needs we can send all the properties that fit your criteria that are on the market or not on the market with a Realtor. If you haven't purchased so far, get in touch please.

Havertown is a fantastic area, and for the price point, you can absolutely find a nice home with 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths and possibly a one car garage. The elementary schools are fantastic, and rival those of Lower Merion and Radnor. It's the middle school and the high school that does not rank as well. If you look in Lower Merion, there will be sticker shock, but the taxes are lower. Good luck, and enjoy the process. It is supposed to be fun! Please call me if you have any further questions!

Hi, Andy,
This is Helene. I live next to ardmore (Bryn mawr) and i am with Keller william mainline. Have worked in the area many years and helped many people find their home (90% in the best school district). The best schools here are Radnor towhship schools and L Merion schools. Springfield is not, unfortunately, in good schools and it is far from Ardmore. Also, be very careful about the streets, My neighbor moved just across the street for the schools! Just bought three homes last month for my clients in Ardmore, found them the best mortgage and negotiated great price for them, even the contractors.....surely I can find you one too.
Will be a honor to help you out.

Hi Andy,

I would be happy to help you out in your search for your next home. Some neighborhoods to look at that are close to Ardmore would be Broomall, Wayne, Bryn Mawr, Villanova, and Springfield. Springfield is a great town with a great school district (Springfield School District). They have 1 Kindergarten (Springfield Literary Center), 2 elementary schools (Sabold and Scenic Hills), 1 middle (E.T.Richardson) and high school (Springfield High). If you would like more information on the school district in Springfield, click on the link: http://www.greatschools.org/search/search.page?search_type=0…

I have done a search on whats available based on the criteria that you've listed, take a look to see what's available: http://www.themackgroup.org/listings/propertytype/SINGLE/max…
