Congrats on your future purchase. As a investor & homeowner in the ATL area, U need a SEASONED REALTOR with any transactions now-a-days! This ATL condo/Townhome market is TRICKY! As mention below, many are overpriced, not in desirable areas, need renovations, rent/owners ratio, & have HOA fees. You need to consider these factors in your purchase. BTW, at your price range most $80k properties, where the same condos selling $30k-$45k cash when I was buying REOs in 09'-11'. So, consider that the value will get hit again. Have you considered a single family home? I think this would be a better fo the value & $$$ overall. The HOA fees & association need to be current, and rent/owners ratio are other factors,if seeking a loan. GOOD LUCK!
Choices have thinned out in the past 6 months in your price range, however if you consider Lithonia, College Park or Powder Springs to be "Atlanta" then your choices start to increase.
The web reference takes you to a $70-80K search that yields 97 condo, loft or townhouse properties for sale based on "Atlanta" addresses.
Maybe I was wrong about my initial assessment that inventory is thin.
I will say this - 80% of these are overpriced...
