There are several first time home buyer down payment assistance programs available in Duval County. A few are: H2H, FHLB, and FL Bond. If you need more info contact me at bkgravitt@gmail.com

Yes, there is the $8000 government tax credit that you get. In addition, my lender is offering incentives also. Beazer Homes has a good deal on new homes that have just been built as well. Have you been pre-qualified? How many bedrooms are you looking for? Please contact me http://www.coldwellbankerdevonshire/agents/margaretrogers

Hi Sid,

As mentioned below by fellow Realtor Jan Ostler-Walker, the most attractive incentive right now for first time homebuyers is the $8,000 tax credit . For more information, please click on this link: http://www.realtor.org/home_buyers_and_sellers/2009_first_ti…

Also, if you're purchasing in the Clay County, there is another incentive for you besides the$8000 tax credit. I can be reached at 904-716-4844 or visit my web site at http://www.servingjacksonville.com .

Thank you! I look forward to hear from you.

Sid,

There are many options available to you as a first time home buyer. Depending on your credit scores and income, you may qualify for a Florida grant program for up to $7,500 in assistance as well as the $8,000 First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit.

Bank foreclosures and short sales present a great opportunity for you to purchase a home at a very attractive price.

Although I work mostly in the Palm Beach County area, I have a network of specialists who can assist in your home search. If you'd like to know more, call my office at 561-337-4810 or email directly to me.

Well Sid,

The biggest assistance is the first time homebuyers tax credit of $8000K as long as you haven't owned a home for 3 years. It expires December 1, 2009 so you have to close before then. There are also programs through the city, NECCA, some banks have bond money. Your best bet is to get hooked up with a good realtor and mortgage consultant to help you with those programs.

Good Luck,
