Somers Point is a great area to retire to be close to the beach. Prices are a little higher in Somers Point then if you look a few minutes further out from the beach. Atlantic County is a great place to live and retire comfortably. Other areas I would consider are Absecon, Galloway, and Egg Harbor Township. Prices are a little more affordable there and you'll have more homes to chose from in that price range.
