I'm posting here the attachment of 71 properties for sale in the Moorings. It's a great location, BUT, it's not such a developed area. If you love boating, with easy access to the ocean, that's a different story. There are dry dock storage places nearby and you can get to the Boynton inlet very quickly.
It's a short drive north to City Place and if you go south for a few miles, you'll hit booming Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.

Condos on the Palm Beach island side on S. Ocean Blvd. have the prestige of being on the barrier island and can be on the ocean side or the intracoastal side. Some great deals.
FYI-Verify the age of the buildings and amenities. Find out if upgrades have been done to the building's 'common areas' and have they been paid for by past or current owners. Find out which upgrades are still needing to be done to the building in the near future and if the condo association has enough reserves to pay for them. OR if the new owner will have to pay !!! And the condition of the condo unit itself is a factor...some are in original condition, and others have been upgraded.
But for the 1st time in history Palm Beach island is "on sale".

A great community on the Federal side of the Intracoastal is Las Brisas. Currently there are some great buys that can be made. Also, Laksshore is a beautiful community that has a couple of foreclosures.....As for the Oceanside, thats my territory (ha, the gaza strip). I work at Plaza Del Mar across from the Ritz Carlton. I live in that same area in a condo on the island. the Moorings are a newer and depending on the unit have great views of the waterway. Let me know if interested and I can email you some of the listings for you to view. I can also email you listings on the island. I would have to know your price range.
Both areas offer a lot. It really depends on your life style preferences and budget. I would not be concerned about flooding in either area though you will want to ask about flood insurance. Flooding is not prevalent but because you are on the coast it will always be a concern to insurance companies.
