I am interested in a co-op on church street - 10 church street.

It's a very old building, and it is a onebedroom unit. Asking price is 149,900, which seems fair, but the association fees are $700/ month, which seems high, but that fee includes property tax, fire insurance, and hot water, along with the usual (garbage, ext. maint. etc.) Is this a good deal?

Hi Tmack,
Co-Op monthly fees are high but when you consider what the cover they are reasonable. You need to have a real estate agent provide comps for the area to determine whether or not you are getting a fair price.

Tmack,

Are you not working with any Realtor at this time? Your Realtor can give you a comparable price analysis on other homes similiar to this one and also what price homes were sold in the past. Based on the facts and figure you will be able to make your own decision if it is a good deal.

If you need assistance if getting all this information, please send me an e mail or contact me at my cell.

Best Wishes,
