I am in the process of buying a home. The home inspection was done yesterday with minor problems i.e. hole in
one of the bedroom doors. Now today my lender calls and says that there has been recently a VA Appraisal done on the house and the VA closed that appraisal out due to previous potential buyer bailout. Now, the VA cant produce the previous appraisal #, potential lender...nothing. All they show is the address having a VA appraisal done and it is closed. Also, they are saying I cant get another appraisal done for a year, Now Im afraid we might lose the house. WHAT CAN I DO? Please help! Even my lender is confused on what to do now
Your lender is in charge of making sure the aprasail is done and is done in a timely manner. If your lender is confused, its just like the professional advise of a doctor, GET A SECOND OPINION. Our team preferred lender here in Texas, take charge of all this and we just call and get updates. Get another opinion fast. Your in New Jersey, a beautiful place, so demand performance, its your money they are lending.

The VA will be able to produce the appraisal number if they were the ones who originally ordered it, as there is only one VA approved appraiser for each area of the country. Someone is mistaking information. I would suggest that you call the bank and ask them for the phone number of the approved VA appraiser for your area, and they will have the information needed.
