Are you looking to stay in Alexandria? Also, what price range are you looking in? When you're doing your online search, look for 3 full baths. You can probably find the layout you're looking for in non-garage townhomes, those will give you more finished living space.

You can check out our townhouse at 4851 27th Road South, Arlington, VA. We have a full bath in the basement level, along with washer/dryer. It also has a small room with a closet that would be perfect for a small kitchen add and then a very large area that we used to use for a guest room where we had a bed AND sitting room. Sounds just like what you are looking for. Good luck!
