I am currently buying a house with my parents. The house does not qualify for a mortgage, so my parents took

out a line of credit to pay for the house, but put my name on the deed. I will be making the monthly payments on the loan. Do I qualify for the $8000 First time home buyers tax credit (I meet all other criteria). Thanks!

Hello Cordelia670!

You will need to seek the Advice of an accountant/CPA. Sorry, I could not help you with this one and I would guess no one else could either...but, I wanted to at least reply and give you some kind of direction to go in. You may want to search online for a Free CPA question and answer in your area or something...Kinda like Trulia but for CPA's.

I hope this helps.
