I am considering moving to Sebastian, Fl, east of 95. What are taxes and wind insurance like for the $150,000?

Most homes in Sebastian are able to obtain a full coverage Homeowners insurance policy including Wind. Depending on whether the roof has had a successful wind inspection, age of the home, whether electric, and other insurance considerations are met. Premiums generally range from around $1,500 to $2500. Taxes are dependent on the appraised value and whether the residence is for full time use but could be in the $2000 range.
Most of the septic tanks work fine all the time and even with torrential rains last yr( 22 inches of rain in 24 hours) , there were very few problems.

Generally, you may figure your taxes to be near 2% of the purchase price of the home. Insurance a likewise amount, unless you are directly on the water. I don't have any experience with septic tanks, but know that there are a tremendous number of them. I hope this helps. Lou ;o)
